About Us

My Nice Flat Belly is a free educational website about waist health, movement, nutrition and healthy aging. It offers simple tools and plain-language guides to help adults understand their body measurements and build sustainable daily habits.

Our mission

To make practical, well-sourced information about waist size, activity and everyday eating easy to find and easy to understand.

What you will find here

  • Free tools, such as a waist-to-height ratio calculator and a BMI and waist comparison. They run in your browser.
  • Plain-language guides on four topics: Waist & Body, Move & Strengthen, Eat & Nourish and Healthy Aging.
  • Printable resources, such as a weekly habits tracker.

What we promise

  • Every health claim is based on a named public-health source, such as the NHS, NIH, CDC or WHO, and the sources are listed on the page.
  • Our tools show ranges and explanations, not scare screens.
  • Our calculators run in your browser and do not store the numbers you enter.
  • Pages show a last-reviewed date and are updated when guidance changes.
  • We say clearly what a measurement can and cannot tell you.

What we do not promise

  • We do not promise weight loss, a flat stomach or fast results.
  • We do not give medical advice, diagnose conditions, or recommend treatments, medications or supplements.
  • We do not replace your doctor, dietitian, or physiotherapist. For anything about your own health, talk to a qualified professional.
  • Our tools are screening and educational aids, not clinical tests.

Who this site is for

Adults who want to understand their waist and body measurements, stay active, eat well, and stay healthy as they get older. It is written mainly with adults aged 40 and over in mind, but anyone aged 18 or over is welcome. The site and its tools are not designed for children or teenagers.

Why is it called “My Nice Flat Belly”?

Our focus is not a flat stomach as a goal. It is helping you understand your waist, build habits that suit you, and age well.

Independence

My Nice Flat Belly is an independent website. We are not part of, endorsed by, or affiliated with the NHS, NIH, CDC, WHO, or any other organization we cite. We name them so that you can check the original source yourself.
